We all show a facade in one way or another. A golden facade says that you are happy, fine, rich.
But inside, the backside has another color, black and grey. Sad, ill, poor.
Depend on how they see, talk and understand you, they can see through you, walk around you and see you from a different angle and maby, just maby save you in the right time. Regardless of what it is that makes you show a facade.
