Alyssa Mullen is an artist from New York. She has a BFA in Studio Art from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL and studied her MFA at LIU Post in Brookville, NY. She moved to Uppsala in 2021 after meeting her sambo in 2018 while backpacking with university friends. Mullen works with acrylic and oil paint. Throughout her life, she has gone through different focuses, concepts, methods and mediums with her artwork. These phases of exploration and release are an authentic, direct result of the waves of her life. No matter what, rich colors are always incorporated in an instinctual and skillful way.
